Volunteers are selected for interviews from written applications made to the Museum board. If chosen, volunteers will be placed where most appropriate for the museums interests and their individual skills. As of 2018 all volunteers must possess a valid Firearms PAL and pass an OPP background check. The Museum will provide task specific training on site and supervision is carried out by members of the board and the Curator.
Membership is a great way to support the activities of the Museum and to stay up to date on whats new and exciting. Two levels of membership are available - Annual and Lifetime. Both have exclusive perks including free admissions, sneak peaks, semi annual news letters and members only sections of the collection. Contact us to find out how to become a member today!
Want to be a little more involved in the governance and decision making at the Museum? Come on out to a board meeting and see if its a fit for you. We welcome observers for the public parts of our board meetings. If its something that interests you we can give you more information. As with all community museums we can always use the help!
The Museum typically hires for seasonal positions. These are contract positions for anyone between the ages of 15-30 years old. Rates, duration and the number of positions available vary from year to year. We also hire contract positions from time to time for specific projects. Keep an eye out here for postings as they become available.
